Local Transfer
Copy, move, and manage files between two local directories.
The file transfer view can operate in local–local mode, giving you a dual-pane explorer for your local filesystem — useful for organizing files without a remote connection.
Opening local transfer mode
Go to the File Transfer tab (if one is already open) and set both panes to local mode, or open a new File Transfer tab without selecting a remote host.
Local file operations
Right-clicking a file or folder exposes:

| Copy | Copies selected items to clipboard for paste in the other pane |
| Cut / Move | Moves items to the destination pane on paste |
| Rename | In-place rename |
| Delete | Moves to system Trash |
| New Folder | Creates a directory at the current path |
| View / Edit | Opens plain text files in the inline text editor |
Drag and drop
Drag files from one pane to the other to copy them. Hold Cmd (macOS) / Ctrl (Linux / Windows) while dragging to move instead of copy.
Path bar
The path bar at the top of each pane shows the current directory as clickable breadcrumb segments. Click any segment to jump to that level, or click the full path to type a new path directly.
Navigation history
Each pane keeps independent back / forward history for the session. Use:
